HOST – JEFFREY RICHMOND
Patient and physician safety is at the forefront of Jeff’s work, and he actively helps physicians work with patients to develop and achieve realistic expectations from their treatments.
Jeff is also a known educator in the industry, teaching courses on laser technologies, speaking at aesthetic training centers, and sharing his knowledge about the latest technologies with providers in the aesthetics field. In particular, he is interested in helping physicians make aesthetic medicine a success in their practices.
GUEST – DR. BETH GOLDSTEIN
Dr. Beth Goldstein is a dermatologist serving Sanford, Durham, and Chapel Hill, NC. She focuses on treating skin cancers and emphasizes providing patients with the best experience and outcome possible. With more than 21 years of dermatology experience, she has developed a focus on surgical dermatology, including Mohs surgery. It’s her passion to educate patients about not only the prevention of skin cancer but also its early detection when treatment is much more effective and less disfiguring. She also educates patients about avoiding further sun damage to their skin.
For many years Dr. Beth desired to learn more surgical skills and get training in Mohs surgery, one of the most effective techniques for treating skin cancers. Since 2008, she has been performing this technique in a quiet, comfortable setting.
While her focus is now primarily surgical, she is still involved in treating dermatology patients of all ages and diagnoses as a supervising physician. She also continues to perform cosmetic laser surgeries, chemical peels, fillers, and consult on other cosmetic procedures.
GUEST – DR. TED LAIN
Dr. Lain is a board-certified Dermatologist and Chief Medical Officer specializing in diagnosing and treating hair, skin, and nails disorders. He also specializes in minimally-invasive cosmetic and laser skin rejuvenation procedures. Dr. Lain is a Physician Trainer by Allergan, the company that makes BOTOX® Cosmetic, JUVÉDERM®, and VOLUMA. He trains other physicians and medical professionals on how to correctly and safely inject these products and is the only physician trainer in Austin.
After graduating with the highest honors from the University of Texas, Dr. Lain obtained his joint medical/master’s in business administration degrees from Baylor College of Medicine and Rice University in Houston, Texas. He then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where he completed his internship in Internal Medicine and specialized training in Dermatology.
He has also been recognized as Texas “Super Doctors” in 2020. At Sanova Dermatology, Dr. Lain specializes in various medical and cosmetic treatments for the skin, hair, and nails. This includes advanced laser procedures and cosmetic injectables.
GUEST – DR. VIVIAN BUCAY
Dr. Vivian Bucay, a board-certified dermatologist in private practice since 1991, also serves on the volunteer faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Texas. Recognized nationally for her expertise in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, Dr. Bucay serves as faculty on several continuing medical and educational initiatives in the USA and has been an invited speaker at numerous meetings both nationally and internationally, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society of Cosmetic Physicians of Western Australia among many other associations.
Passionate about skin wellness, Dr. Bucay serves as a consultant to many companies and has been featured as a skin expert in numerous publications, including Allure, Good Housekeeping, Elle, More, Marie Claire, Shape, Men’s Health, Prevention, Fitness, Cosmetic Surgery Times, Dermatology Times, and New Beauty. In addition, Dr. Bucay is a Distinguished Physician Member of the Liquid Face Lift Association. Since 2004, Dr. Bucay has been recognized yearly as a “Texas Super Doctor” in Texas Monthly magazine.
